Managing fiber sites without loss, without outage, without cost drift

Multiple simultaneous sites. Multiple subcontractors. Multiple warehouses. Critical materials. Complex coordination.

Here, the problem is not just the stock.
It's the coordination.

Immersive story — Telecom

Stock management software & WMS for
telecom projects and fiber sites

This story is inspired by the real daily life of telecom companies using GSE-Web. It illustrates how project-oriented stock management transforms site coordination, material traceability and cost management.

Chapter 1

Julien, project manager, starts his day

Julien manages several projects simultaneously: fiber deployment in an urban zone, relay antenna maintenance, client connections. Each project has its constraints, teams, subcontractors and deadlines.

Before, it was Excel files, paper forms, calls to the warehouse and no clear view of costs. We were flying blind.

Today, everything starts with a project

In GSE-Web, Julien works by project. For each project, he has:

Associated warehouses

One or more depots linked to the project

Movement overview

All exits, returns, transfers at a glance

Cost tracking

Real cost per site, per project, exportable

Chapter 2

Creating a movement order: the site is structured

Julien prepares a fiber site. He creates a movement order in GSE-Web with all the necessary information:

Movement order #MO-2026-0412

Site address14 rue des Lilas, Cergy
IssuerJ. Martin
Status: To process

7:12 — The warehouse is immediately informed

No call. No follow-up. The warehouseman receives a notification on computer, smartphone and email. Zero friction. Zero forgetting.

Chapter 3

Warehouse preparation: field reality taken into account

Marc, warehouseman, opens the order. Before GSE-Web, it was paper forms, preparation errors, back-and-forth, misunderstandings. Today, preparation is guided, and the system adapts to reality.

Prepared

Everything is available

  • All parts present
  • Quantities confirmed
Partially prepared

Some material is missing

  • Quantities adjusted
  • Project manager informed

Real-time correction

Marc spots a stock error? He corrects it directly on the order. Stock adjusted, immediate consistency. The system remains reliable at all times.

The subcontractor is automatically informed

As soon as the order is ready, the subcontractor receives an email with notification + PDF attachment. They know exactly what to collect.

Chapter 4

Pickup, site, return: the complete loop

The subcontractor arrives at the warehouse. The pickup is recorded with full name — complete traceability. The order moves to Delivered or Partially delivered status.

On site: zero blocking

Thanks to structured preparation, the site progresses without surprises: no forgotten parts, no depot return, no time wasted.

Materials return

End of site. Some parts are unused. The return is linked to the original order, traced, and stock is updated automatically. No loss. No grey area.

Project cost management:
for the first time, a clear view

Julien exports a complete Excel report. For each project, each site, he sees the real cost — not an estimate.

Before:

  • Costs estimated by guesswork
  • Invisible drifts until the final report
  • Unidentified material losses

Today:

  • Real cost per site
  • Profitability per project
  • Full control

From organised chaos to a structured system

Before: organised chaos

  • Lack of coordination

Calls to the warehouse, lost paper forms, information that doesn't flow.

  • Preparation errors

Wrong parts, wrong quantities, depot return in the middle of a site.

  • Material losses

Material that disappears between the warehouse and the site, without traceability.

  • Poorly managed costs

No view of real cost per site. Drifts are discovered at the final report.

With GSE-Web: a structured system

  • Project management

Every site is structured from the start. Warehouses, orders, movements — everything is linked.

  • Automatic communication

Warehousemen, subcontractors, project managers — everyone is informed in real time.

  • Pickup and return traceability

Who collected what, when, for which site. Returns linked to the original order.

  • Cost management

Real cost per site, per project, exportable to Excel. Clear and usable view.

And you? Today, can you…

  • Track your parts precisely by site?
  • Know exactly what a project really costs you?
  • Avoid losses and oversights on your sites?

If that is not the case…

You are losing time, materials… and money.
