Why your multi-pallet shipments are problematic
As soon as a movement slip exceeds one pallet, most WMS systems lose track. Errors pile up between picking and the loading bay:
Untracked partial shipments
When a slip requires 3 pallets but only 2 leave, nobody knows which product is missing or which pallet it was supposed to be on.
Disorganised picking
Without visual distinction, the picker confuses pallets. A product placed on the wrong pallet guarantees a customer dispute.
Forgotten backorders
Partially shipped orders fall into oblivion. The customer waits for a completion that never arrives, for lack of automated tracking.
Visual badges per pallet, from F3 to F5
From step F3 (locations), each pallet receives a unique colour badge: P1 in blue, P2 in pink, P3 in green. These colours carry through to F4 (products) and become distinct pastel bands in F5 (quantities) so the picker instantly identifies the current pallet.
-
P1, P2, P3… badges in F3 and F4 screens to identify the associated pallet
-
Pastel colours in F5 to visually distinguish each pallet during quantity entry
-
Up to 10 pallets per slip, each with its own unique colour code
-
Compatible with handheld scanner and desktop: badges adapt to all screen sizes
Each colour = 1 physical pallet
The picker scans and instantly sees the right pallet on their handheld.

One PDF per pallet, ready in 1 click
Each pallet has its own PDF document: the exact list of products, quantities, the slip reference and the status. Place the PDF on the physical pallet and your carrier knows exactly what they are loading.
Select the pallet
From F5 or F6, choose the pallet whose PDF you want (P1, P2, P3...).
Generate the PDF
One click on "PDF Pallet" produces a document with Ref, Description, Quantity, total weight and status.
Print or send
Print the PDF to stick on the pallet, or email it to the carrier or customer.
Complete traceability
Each PDF is time-stamped and linked to the original movement slip. No ambiguity possible.
Global status and automatic backorders
GSE-Web aggregates each pallet's status to give you a summary view of the movement slip: Complete when everything is ready, Partial when there are still products to pick. Backorders are created automatically so nothing is forgotten.
-
Complete status: all pallets are ready, the slip can be validated and dispatched
-
Partial status: some pallets are incomplete, a backorder will be generated at shipment
-
Automatic backorder: unshipped products generate a new pre-filled slip
-
Progress bar: visualise the global shipment progress as a percentage
Shipment tracking — BM-2026-0412
4 products on backorder will be automatically carried over to a new movement slip.
